Question What do you like best about this film?

I think the things that strike me the most about this film are how well the child actors do and the way the production was able to covey the difference between the present day, and the 1950's!!!
A period piece can be tricky!
Also Blythe Auffarth is beautiful and her acting is spot on. Especially during those torture scenes. Almost too hard to watch in spots. Poor girl .

Default the pace

My favorite part of the movie was it's unrelentingly steady pace. It took the time to tell the story and so few movies do. It really lent itself to the feel of a lazy hazy summer that somehow just goes wrong. By the end of the movie you are almost lulled into the sense that nothing REALLY bad is going to happen and then POW!
